At Wesbank Secondary School, we recently hosted an engaging coding program and bottle rocket launch outreach for Grade 7 learners from St. Thomas Primary School. Under my guidance, Mnr. Kelvin-Jean Fortuin, along with dedicated team members from Innovatrix, introduced students to the Microbit a versatile educational tool that fosters creativity and coding skills. Throughout the session, participants learned to navigate the Microbit’s features, engaging in hands-on activities that sparked their interest in programming and innovation. This initiative not only equipped them with valuable technical skills but also encouraged teamwork and problem-solving, laying the foundation for their future endeavors in technology.
